Hire or Buy?

Ski Wear hire is the ideal option is your children are still growing or if you don ’t think you’ll ski every year. All our ski wear is by recognised brands such as TRESPASS, FIVE SEASONS AND ICE PEAK, and is available to hire as a set or as individual items if you just need salopettes or jackets. HIRE CHARGES ARE PER TRIP and not per week, so the price you see is the price you pay. All the jackets are designed for Skiing and are windproof and waterproof with snow skirts. The salopettes have zipped ankles and snow gaiters to keep you warm and toasty. Ski Wear is available to hire via our on line store, through our shop or over the phone. If 4 th Element are doing the ski night at your school you can try on items then. When we deliver the Ski wear to schools we realise that it may have been many weeks since the original hire and we try where possible to refit and change items immediately is problems arise

We recommend you visit our shop in Stockton on Tees, well in advance of your holiday so that you can have the widest choice of clothes to try on and reserve.

Hire Period
If your trip is for a week (typically, Saturday to Saturday), the clothes are booked out to you for a maximum period of 13 days. You are free to take the clothes from the shop at any time within those 13 days but we must have them back by the Monday evening closing at 8pm. For a Saturday departure, you can pick them up at the earliest from the Wednesday before and we would need them returned by the Monday after your holiday. Otherwise, you will be liable for the 25% surcharge for 14-20 days' hire.

Deposits
We ask for a deposit on booking of twice the total hire costs. If this is paid by cheque or card, we do not charge your account, but hold the cheque or manual paper card swipe in our deposits box until you return. As long as the clothes are returned without any damage the cheque or paper will be returned to you or torn up. If there is damage, we ask for the full repair or replacement costs, dependent on how reparable it is.

Cancellations
Please note the cancellation charges for booked clothes:

More than 2 weeks before departure - 25% of hire charge
Less than 2 weeks before departure - no refund given

A full refund will be given if a medical certificate is produced no matter when the cancellation occurs.

If Hire is cancelled the hire charge paid can be exchanged for goods in our shop.
